We are a little bit different. Within a welcoming and supportive community, all voices are encouraged to join us in learning music to a high standard. Folk. Pop. Classical. Gospel. We sing everything! Using a blended learning approach of both sheet music and practice videos, our members have a desire to learn and develop their choral skills. We also have a lot of fun!

Sing Together

We have two choirs; Wrington and Crickhowell. Each choir has a regular practice session during term time. Wrington meets on Monday evenings, and Crickhowell on Thursday Afternoons. We enjoy singing together at performances.

Learn Together

Learning opportunities are provided at every skill level. Beyond the rehearsal, there are many ways in which choir members are supported in their learning. Workshops and Masterclasses are available to members and non-members.

Enjoy Together

We are social! When you join our choir, you join our community. Evergreen Chorus builds lasting friendships and is a place where everyone belongs, all whilst singing beautiful music.

What Choir Members Say

“I have found it such a wonderful experience being a part of this choir; not only because of the varied repertoire that we have been expertly taught, but also because of the valuable friendships within the group.”

Every rehearsal feels like a breath of fresh air. The atmosphere is always warm, welcoming, and full of laughter. Whether you are an experienced singer or wanting to try something new, this choir is a little slice of joy in the week.”

About our Founder and Conductor

Katie Truman-Williams founded Evergreen Chorus in 2021, after over 15 years of professional teaching and conducting experience spanning both Canada and the United Kingdom. She observed that most choirs in the UK were either deeply entrenched in the classical choral tradition, or sang contemporary music to backing tracks with little attention paid to developing musicianship skills. She wanted to blend together the best of both approaches, whereby classical choral music and pop/rock/folk choral arrangements could be sung side-by-side, and experience levels could be from beginner to advanced.
