Learn new skills at your own pace. By using sheet music and practice videos, we create a holistic environment to suit different learning styles.
Music is expertly chosen to ensure each choral part is singable, and that the repertoire brings just the right level of challenge to deepen our skills.
We take time at the beginning of our practices to warm-up using up to date pedagogical approaches. We also ensure an element of technical skills building is covered, often offering specific vocal exercises choir members can practice at home.
Our choir members help each other, and we are known for being supportive and welcoming. We also challenge our more experienced members, to ensure those with training can deepen their knowledge and performance opportunities.

We sing all choral genres. There is something for everyone.
Variety is the spice in life! We love to surprise our audiences with something special. Folk tunes, foreign languages, pop hits, choral classics, musicals, sea shanties… we are open to all songs that bring us joy. Our conductor is a specialist in accents, and incorporates this knowledge into ensuring authentic approaches to each genre. In other words – our pop songs sound like pop, and our classical songs sound like classical.

Many of our choir members come to Evergreen Chorus to experience our uplifting rehearsals. Performances are wonderful to work towards, but our music is always chosen for its beauty and the joy it brings each week.
