FAQ.
Where and when do you rehearse?
Evergreen Chorus has recently expanded to two choirs sessions. Each choir has its own location and rehearsal schedule. We aim to perform together throughout the year where possible.
Wrington Choir: Monday Evening 7:30-9pm at The Chapel in Wrington, North Somerset
Crickhowell Choir: Thursday Afternoons 12:30-2pm St. Edmund’s Church in Crickhowell, Powys
Do you perform?
Yes. We generally perform twice a year, sometimes more. We always perform at Christmas, and then again in the summertime. This year, we performed at The Crickhowell Food Festival in late June, and then at Saint George’s in July. Currently, we aim to perform at Christmas, and are looking to attend the food festival again in 2026, as well as perform in Wrington to celebrate our 5 year Anniversary with the date TBD.
How often do you rehearse?
We are a term time choir. We run 30 sessions per year, split into 10 sessions in each double term. We do not rehearse on Bank Holidays, and aim to follow the School Calendar of half terms and holidays.
Mid Sept – Early December
Mid January – Easter Break
Post Easter (late April) – Mid July
How much does membership cost?
Your first session is free. If you decide to join Evergreen Chorus, membership fees are £180 per year. Fees are paid either as a standing order of £15/month or £60 paid on March 1st, July 1st, and November 1st for the upcoming term. New members will pay a pro-rata fee for their first term upon joining, and then link into the payment systems above going forward.
Fees include all rehearsals, sheet music, and practice videos. Workshops and Masterclasses are available separately.
What happens if I can’t make some of the rehearsals?
We understand that people are busy. Between work commitments, family obligations, sickness, and holidays… it can be challenging to make every single weekly rehearsal. We ask our members to make best efforts to come to practice. If a significant amount of sessions are being missed, we would encourage members to use our practice videos to catch up on missed learning. Generally, it’s normal for choir members to miss the odd session. Please note that membership fees are the same, regardless of attendance.
